Sometimes I really feel like an idiot đ˛
During courses I often see colleagues performing dozens of functional tests,
adding mysterious interpretations to it.
Am I too unexperienced to understand and "feel" all of this?
You know this feeling too?
What's the relevance of this test abundance???
In a textbook on orthopaedic medicine the authors described a series of 97!! tests for the lumbar spine.
- First of all, many of those so called tests are completely irrelevant and furthermore,
- how do I have to interpret the test results? This is a perfect example of âartificial hypercomplicationâ.
My advice is to focus on to the point relevant test procedures , on repeated testing and objective clinical reasoning.
Some interesting and useful solutions are described in detail in the Orthopaedic Medicine online Masterclass.
